The magazine had undergone a couple of previous name and stylistic changes, but by now, was looking dated. The magazine was felt to be an important way of keeping supporters informed as nothing else fulfilled this role. However, the strictures of the branding were not helping the look and feel. We were brought in to re-design the magazine which was returned to the title ‘Focus’. Working as a team with the client, we made more use of the excellent Sightsavers Photo Archive and opened up the possibilities of the grid. Sightsavers said that they were “proud” of the result, and so were we.
